Interfacial Solutions deTerra PR146 Biobased Content Test Results Are In
Interfacial Solutions recently submitted its deTerra PR146 biobased material to outside laboratory testing for biobased content analysis. The testing, which follows ASTM D6866 and was completed by Beta Analytic, Inc of Miami, FL is a measure of a products "modern carbon" as opposed to a material based on fossil carbon. The biobased content result for the deTerra PR146 was 93%. The "biobased content" of a material is reported as a percent value relating total renewable organic carbon to total organic carbon.
This result is one of the highest available for biopolymer compounds in general, and certainly very high specifically for a flame retardant grade.
