Interfacial Solutions Announces the Presentation of “deTerra® Biobased Polymers – Next Generation Materials for Durable Applications” at the 2011 Global Plastics Environmental Conference

Interfacial Solutions presented an overview of its next generation of deTerra® Biobased Polymers for durable applications at the 2011 Global Plastics Environmental Conference. The talk highlighted recent technical advances that have increased the flexural strength and impact resistance of Interfacial Solutions’ deTerra® Biobased plastics.

The deTerra® Biobased Polymers product line from Interfacial Solutions is a series of bio-based polymer compounds. The product line includes flame retardant (FR) products along with a variety of grades with fillers and additives designed specifically to meet customer needs. The polymers used as the basis for this series of compounds are derived from renewable resources, such as corn, rather than traditional petroleum based polymers and have an independently determined biobased content of 93% or higher depending on the grade.

The presentation was given by Ashley Pinault, a Technical Sales Specialist at Interfacial Solutions. She noted that “The talk drew considerable interest at GPEC and requests for further information came from several significant customers across different markets.”
